Papa, we can help you

Papa was doing a little touch up painting last week (on the ladder against my better judgement). So my lil' helpers cheerfully offered their creative painting abilities. I love moments which capture inter-generational cooperation like this.

It really warms my heart to see how eager my children are to "help" Papa--whether it be cleaning out the pool filters daily, or picking up sticks in the yard--they seem to have this instinct that "older people" need assistance. I believe that this attitude of helping others is, in part, one of the many life lessons we learned when caring for Nana when she was ill.
