Many of you know that we are in Massachusetts caring for Rich's mom. She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer two weeks ago and is not well. The children and I packed up our school lessons, some warm clothes (although since then I have realized it was not enough), and have temporarily moved in with my parents. We are blessed to be able to do this for her and selfishly fortunate to be able to do it for ourselves. The children are taking an active part in her care, where possible, by rubbing her legs with lotion, retrieving drinks, reading her stories, exploring junk drawers and generally adding life and happiness to her home (in a way only children can). They are learning invaluable lessons about sacrifice, patience (since I am not at their beckon call), and unconditional love. I will post some photos soon (I left behind my cord to upload in TN).
